Infrastructure, Utilities and TransportationTo date, surveys show that residents who have received our information express a very high level of satisfaction in being informed of work that's going to take place before it begins, and being provided with alternatives for learning additional details regarding public works construction projects near their homes and businesses. Beyond simply informing the public of potential impacts and delays, Strategic Solutions utilizes communications and community involvement tools to increase awareness and cultivate public tolerance and interest in the improvement of areas near their homes or businesses. The diverse team at Strategic Solutions is well versed in all aspects of infrastructure, utilities, and transportation projects in Southern Nevada, Northern Nevada, Clark County, Washoe County, Las Vegas, Henderson and Reno. ![]() Public Works Project Example: Colorado Avenue Storm Drain Project Clark County Public Works through CH2MHill Description: Strategic Solutions provided public outreach services for this 18-month intensive construction project within a densely populated, bilingual neighborhood. Clark County Public Works was required to construct a storm drain through a residential neighborhood, literally tearing up the street in front of people's homes and limiting access to their homes for extended periods of time. We prepared all background materials for informational meetings, conducted a face-to-face neighborhood interview survey, and prepared monthly bilingual newsletters. We also maintained a hotline for project emergencies and was the main contact for neighbor questions and concerns. Outcome: The project was the recipient of the American Public Works Association Project of the Year award and was completed with minimal complaint calls to agency officials. The neighbors were made an integral part of the process, thereby allowing its timely completion and promoting project "ownership" by the neighborhood. Our Vision is to be The Source for integrated research, planning, and communications in Southern Nevada, Northern Nevada, Clark County, Washoe County, Las Vegas, Henderson and Reno. |
