Kyle Canyon Gateway Master Plan Open House

Description:
In considering the development of the sensitive "gateway" area to Kyle Canyon, the City of Las Vegas desired significant public participation in the planning of the community. Strategic Solutions provided facilitation, public participation and community outreach services for Poggemeyer Design Group in the development process for the City of Las Vegas - Kyle Canyon Gateway Master Plan by conducting a community open house to kick off the planning process.
Outcome:
The evening was a remarkable success, as reflected by over 120 attendees, positive media coverage and constructive feedback from the public who completed our questionnaire. The open house served to inform and engage the public, providing an opportunity for planners and elected officials to communicate the special qualities of the area and how the planning process for the area will progress. Today, the Focus Property Group owns the land and is working to develop a sustainable community true to the earliest goals of the City of Las Vegas.
